Also, reading will help you to learn and understand the language at your own pace along with teaching you new words which you didn’t know about before. Also, reading a story will be effective as it will help you relate to the situations, the scenarios, and the emotions which will make learning a new language more interesting.

Also, scientifically reading a story helps you engage your whole brain while learning, rather than just involving the left part of your brain which is only operating while working on certain activities like grammar. 

So, pick a book with the story you like the most and start reading. It will be fun and help you learn the new language quickly.
